I have been battling pvcs nonstop for about 6 months. I have a history of them, but in the past only experienced a few here and there. Now I get them pretty much every day. I wore a holter monitor, event monitor, had a heart echo, and have had about 5 ekgs. Everything came back normal, just had a visual trace of tricuspid regurgitation, which apparently is normal and harmless. The pvcs were caught but they aren’t of concern. I was told I did not need to see a cardiologist since everything was good but I asked for a referral anyway because these pvcs are not only terrifying me but they’re ruining my life. I met with a cardiologist the other day, had another ekg and this time it did not come back normal. How is that possible when I had 4 normal ones about 3 months ago? I asked him why it wasn’t normal and he said there was something going on on the right side of my heart. He didn’t say anything more so I left it at that because I’m scheduled to get a couple more heart echos and a stress test in a week and that will tell us more. I’m so scared something awful is wrong. I might worry myself sick. Which is why I’m posting this. If all my other ekgs and tests were normal, then why would this ekg come back not normal? Is it possible it’s just the tricuspid regurgitation that it’s catching? Or is it possible my heart could have changed or enlarged, or the tricuspid regurgitation could have got worse in a matter of 3 months? This may be the longest week of my life having to wait to find out what’s wrong.
