Anxiety? Or something more serious.

Hello

The past few days I have been experiencing something a little different. I developed some health anxiety over the past couple weeks and it has taken a toll on me (obsessed with my pulse). While at work yesterday i noticed my pulse at 62 bpm roughly, I was walking at the time, my resting is usually in the mid 40s low 50s. (According to my Mom and previous Dr. visits, the is a normal resting HR for me). I was kneeling for a couple of minutes and I stood up, took a few steps and came to a stop, I had then noticed my pulse jump to about 90 and felt my heart beating very hard, uncomfortably hard. This lasted about 30-45 seconds, though the heart didn’t beat as hard or fast, I still had this overwhelming sense of uneasiness and fear that it would happen again. This doesn’t happen at rest, I’ve only noticed it in these situations such as standing up, walking a few steps and stopping. I’ve never passed out and I can’t tell if I’m getting light headed or in a pre panic state.

I work on an ambulance as an EMT and sometimes when I’m relaxing and hear the radio key up or if I’m on my way to potentially bad call, I feel my heart sink and the pulse raises little. Could both be related to an adrenaline surge because I’m almost always expecting it? or could there be a heart function problem. I was at the Dr. a few days ago and had a normal EKG.

I’ve lived a very active life, active duty Marine from 2010-2014. I’m a 26 y/o M. About 15 lbs overweight with no known major  medical history. Both parents and siblings are healthy.

I never experienced this at this level up until this month. I remember I had a moderately intense workout two weeks ago and I felt great, been afraid to over exert myself lately. Since, my appetite has been sub par, I’m constantly worried if these feelings will harm me physically. Any similar stories or advice?
