Are ectopics with a cause less concerning?

This sounds like a crazy question but I have recently heard many reasons for my increase in PAC/PVC's.  From hormones (monthly cycle, 39 yrs, F) to thyroid levels being wacky (tested and normal) to perimenipause to stress to you name it.  What I am wondering is IF my ectopics are related to let's say, perimenipause, does that make them less important (and more okay) than if they are happening for an unknown reason?

It has taken me over the past five years to start to accept them and I don't know if I fully do.  Not for the PAC/PVC's themselves but for the horrible lingering feelings they leave behind.  Those symptoms/side effects are increasing and concern me the most.  I have mentioned in other posts throat tightness, left arm pain, warm feelings through my back.  What I find most frustrating is that not everyone has the exact same symptoms!  ARG!  That would make it so much easier to talk about!

Thank you both.  I find it very frustrating that they don't feel the same all the time.  Some days when it's the throat flutters, I get it.  Other times, like tonight, when it's a different feeling, my mind starts to "what if" everything.  And  I end up lurking here!! :)

I have been through lots of tests (as recently as last month), all showing "just" PAC/PVS's.  This should be enough for comfort but honestly and unfortunately, it's not.  The differing symptoms they cause always make me wonder.........

Please know that if it were as easy to be told they are harmless and move on, I would.  No one has wished that more.  Until then, I thank you all for the opportunity to read your posts, write my own, express my concerns/fears and feel some comfort in knowing I am not the only one.

I am so sorry that you are going thru this.  I know exactly how frustrating PVC's are...there is nothing easy about them for sure.  A couple of years ago a was getting PVC's combined with atrial fib and let me tell you that was quite the ride and one i hope never to repeat in this lifetime.  I chose to have an ablation done to get rid of the PVC's among other things and they are a memory now thank God for that anyway.  Its normal for that funny feeling to be in your throat because of the carotid artery and pretty common among most of us i think...mostly PVC's are electrical based occurances and trust me they have a mind of their own on when they are going to happen.  I have read alot of posts on this site where female members have commented that it has gotten worse during peri and menopause and i wouldn't be surprised in the least because of the havoc that our hormones wreak on us...i mean like hot flashes, mood swings and weight gain aren't enough we have to toss this all into the mix......i think it seriously may have something to do with Eve and that apple LOL....but back to it....if the symtoms seem like they are getting progressive you need to make an appt. w. a heart doc...anything that becomes progressive w. symtoms of the heart are suspect i think and for the 50.00 you'll pay for a consult will be priceless to get the answers you need so you don't go thru all of the anxiety and stress....if it were my body i would call tomorrow and make an appt.....good luck tanns.....

I totally 100 % agree w/ everything you just said!! I get similiar symptoms to you, like the throat tightening but I've noticed that not everybody here gets what I get either so like you, I get frustrated and wonder that if my "feelings" aren't like everybody else's...then how can mine "just" be pvc's and pac's??
That's all I've ever been diagnosed w/....but my feelings don't always feel the same from one day to the next?! So how can mine be just like yours??
I also want to associate my palps w/ menstruation and maybe peri-menopause...I'm 40, like my "present" symptoms feel like my chest is "dropping"...like somebody pushed my chest in...this went on..off and on all night (yesterday) and this morning when I woke up, I was exhausted....I'll try a couple of more of my "feelings"...I get this feeling like my bp is dropping then I feel all fatigued, like my legs weigh a ton and like I'm about to drop to the floor...of course the throat tightening, feels like I'm being strangled...hard to describe when I'm having a "spell"...lol
