Ep study but couldn't find no issues

Well I was set today to have an EP study and ablation for what they thought was PSVT & PAC. They went into both side if my growing and also used some kind of meds to help induce the faulty heart rhythm I have been having but no bad rhythm could be induced. He said everything looked perfectly normal. Can't explain the rapid heart rate or the morbitz 1 blockage that shows up once about every two months. Said it was working perfectlt normal but now he says more test have to be done to figure out what is causing this issue. So there going to check my autonomic nerves system and my adrenal glands for a tumor or other defects but after thousands of dollars and pretty much every heart test that can be done in the last two years they are thinking my heart is not the problem. Now he did say some people have to get 2 EP studys but he was really excited that he could not find anything going on and that all my electrical pathways look great. Im really confused and really wanted this issue to be fix today. I mean don't get me wrong im am so glad that its proboly not my heart but what now. I just really would hate to deal with this for ever. So any advice would be great or if anyone else has had the same issue

Yeah, I actually didn't think I had stomach issues myself.  I had some intestinal gas but who doesn't but my stomach never hurt or was upset or had any reflux but yet pretty much every time I eat my heart rate goes up and I get all sorts of ectopics.  That said, mine only goes to around 100 resting and 120-130 on movement but it has been that way my whole life so I never really thought much of it until the ectopics showed up on the scene.  Anyhow, I think when the stomach is involved it is connected to the vagus nerve being irritated and sending signals to the heart causing it to act up.

The rapid rate comes on usally about 20 to 30 mins after I eat certain foods but nothing else comes with it. No upset stomach or indergestion just a fast, hard rate and will last for about and hour.

If your rate is only elevating to around 120 it is likley you have some sort of sinus tachycardia or even as I stated before runs of pacs.  Most other svts present with higher heart rates over 150 and over 200 for the one I had avnrt.  Your autonomic nervous system could be the culprit as well as stomach issues as Richard questioned above.  My heart is always elevated after I eat.  And your heart could also be reacting to any pacs you have. I know when I am having bad bouts of them my heart is all over the place.  I am not sure if the ectopics cause this or if the ectopics cause the heart to beat erratically but the bottom line being you may not have an svt that needs ablating.  Pacs and pvcs are difficult to correct so those of us who have them do have to learn how to deal with them.  Finally, from what I know about the level 1 block most cardiologists don't see this as a real danger but continue to follow your doctors advice and investigate these other avenues they suggested to see if there is something you can correct to help alleviate these episodes you are having.   Hang in there and remember every step you take is a step towards resolution.  Take care.

After you eat the pizza or whatever else causes these irregularities,  do you have an upset stomach or any other stomach issues?  How soon after you eat do you notice that your heart speeds up?

Im not sure its ur typical SVT maybe there is some SVT thrown in there but I don't think thats whats going on the whole time. The event monitor showed one run of PAC and two runs of Mobitz 1 Blockage durning my rapid rate. These events only come on durning the rapid rate. Now I reallt can't narrow down what brings on the rapid rate because its never the same. Sometimes if im to active I get it sonetimes not sonetimes I can do nothing all day and get it. Also this only happens in the evening hours usally after 5 oclock. I will just notice my heart beating around 120 or so then all the skipping and dropping will start usally is worse when I set or lie down but sometimes I get the rapid rate with out and skips or drops. Sometimes I get a fast, hard heart beat after meals. Pizza really does this to me everytime I eat pizza, or like a nutragrain bar for breakfast then I will get a hard rapid rate for hours. But whats weird to me is things that should throw my heart out of wack really don't, for example like I got a virus and was throwing up every twenty minutes for about 10 hours and I never got any skipped beats or rapid rates and that was a big strain on my heart but it was perfectly fine. Then on the other side when I wake up in the morning I have a resting heart rate between 40 and 60 bpm. So its always diffrent all the time.

I am sorry to hear your ablation didn't bring you any results.  Were your doctors able to catch an svt through a monitor?  How fast does your heart beat when you go into svt?   Does it start and stop suddenly and how long does it last?  How often do you get the svt?  From what I understand the fibers in the heart that are causing an issue for the run of the mill svts like avnrt don't fully mature until around our 40s.   Until they fully mature it can be difficult to induce an episode which is why some EPs won't do an ablation unless your svt is persistent and common.  That said, I am not sure if an arrhythmia should be inducible during a study no matter what.  If that is truly the case then your svt may simply be a run of pacs as opposed to a typical svt. Hang in there.  It doesn't sound like your doctors are giving up on you since they are looking elsewhere to find if the issue is something else.  And it is possible the svt will present itself for you better at a future date.  But try not to stress too much.  Nothing in life is forever.  You will find some resolution in one way shape or form at some point so keep positive.  A fast beat isn't going to take you down.  It may be a bit tiring but you aren't in any imminent danger at this point so just follow your doctors advice and keep a journal for yourself so you can pinpoint things about your condition that may not be apparent just yet.  Take care and keep us posted on how you are doing.
