It will eventually go away on its own, being absorbed by your body. But it will take several months, and it probably follow gravity and drain down your leg. During the ablation, Heparin is often administered to prevent clotting. This increases the possibility of forming a hematoma at the catheter insertion site. I had an orange sized lump on my leg that eventually drained as far down as my knee. I may also be tender in the area of the bruising. This is normal.
