First that happens to a lot of people waking up and the heart rate is little elevated its normal. It is physiological phenomenon of coming out of sleep state to waking up state.Second don't panic about it as you might develop anxiety and that means higher heart rate. So when you wake up just seat on your bed lean against your head board and relax for few minutes.Your HR will come down.
Anxiety and panic will make you feel dizzy and nauseous.
Then again get checked by another doctor even a cardiologist  for a piece of mind. You are to young to worry

Have you ever had your thyroid tested? That is a common symptom with hypothyroidism. Just a thought.
