Would you explain: doppler sampling and color flow reveals norman mitral inflow, increase in aortic velocit =3.7 m/sec, AVA= 0.9 cm2, mean gradient=34, mild mitral and moderate triscupid regurgitation,n PAP = 42mmHg.

I have had all of these tests done but my insurance in being cancelled before nmy next doctor visit.

I would seek some legal advice, you can start I assume on some web forum.

An immediate cancellation of an insurance policy seems unusual to me.  I do understand many (all?) have some maximum life payment limit.  The echo itself isn't expensive, and most insurance companies have lower than "list" agreements with providers.   So, the insurance company must have read your echo results and saw something expensive in your future.  In my case I had a leaky mitral valve for years and my private (company provided) insurance never made any comment.  I eventually had to have heart surgery to repair the valve, that was expensive and didn't happen until I was retired and under Medicare.  Still I believe my private insurance would have paid for the surgery had it been required prior to my retirement - just my data point on health insurance.  I know there are policies that provide very little coverage.

Did your doctor suggest there was any problem requiring action?  My cardiologist noted the leaky valve and said we'll just check on it every few years (I'll guess it was every 3 years).  This eventually led to related heart enlargement that required surgery.  This happened when I was 67.

Hello, I would try to post this question in the Heart Disease Community or the Heart Disease Expert Forum (if you want an answer from a doctor), as your question doesn't have anything to do with heart rhytm.

I have very little knowledge about this (if anyone have, feel free to answer), maybe the guys over at the Heart Disease community know more about echo results.

From what I see, it seems like you have some obstruction in the aortic valve (aortic stenosis) and a somewhat elevated pressure in the pulmonary arteries, but I don't know how severe and what the consequence may be..
