hi it sounds like anxiety to me or a pinched nerve or i get it when i knocked my funny bone, in anxiety we get this tingly sensation due to our bodys reaction the flight or fight responce we call it, this is when the body prepares itself for danger the blood gets drained from toes, fingers, arms ect.... it carried to the most important places such as the brain, the heart, and thighs this is where its most needed, so tingly sensations are common in anxiety
Hi Gail.....two things come to mind.....one is that it could be caused from a low level of anxiety because when anxiety hits many many people feel a tingling sensation in hands, head, etc. or secondly could be you pinched your sciatic nerve. I don't really think that it is heart related either but then you also worry sometimes about clot factors or strokes because one of the symtoms is numbness and tingling. If your blood pressure is within normal limits the odds of stroke decrease and if you have no other symtoms other than the tingling in your fingertrips it may very well be one of the first two comments i made especially if you get upset and nervous about health issues....i would keep an eye on it and if any other symtoms pop up then i would make a call to my doc....hopefully its just your nerves........
