Heart palpitations. Side effect of meds?

I'm on pepcid and sulfamethoxazole because of stomach issues and infection in my finger. I took my 2nd pill it says twice daily so one at morning and one mid night like 8-9 and I've been having palpitations and pain on my left chest. Hopefully it goes away soon and has anyone ever had these side effects before?

There is a possiblity for Bactrim (the antibiotic you are taking) to cause heart palpitations.  If you are having heart palpitations accompanied by chest pain, it would probably be a good idea to call your doctor.

"Stomach issues", like acid reflux issues?  If that is the case, I'd consider that problem more than the treatment you're taking for it.  There is a link between stomach issues like GERD, and arrhythmia.
