Kind of scared...

I keep posting on these forums because I can't afford a doctor.

Two things:

First, I have been experiencing something for the past few weeks that have been troubling and annoying. I have been diagnosed with PVCs for a while now but something else has been happening lately. It seems that sometimes i'll feel pressure build up and then a PVC (or perhaps even a PAC) relieves it. Tonight it has been happening almost constantly. It slowly builds up over a few heartbeats before being relieved by a PVC. Sometimes it is relieved without a PVC. Sometimes after the relief I experience what I could only describe as my heart slowing down and pumping more blood per contraction than it should for a beat or two before going back to normal. Is there anyone who can relate? I also have orthostatic hypotension, so maybe its related to that? Thing is, it doesn't matter how long i've been standing up.

Second, I have had something else rather scary happen to me this evening. I was walking up the stairs when suddenly I got a PVC. But after the PVC my heart started racing really fast for a few seconds. This has only happened a once before, about a month ago. I was just walking into my room when the PVC happened followed by a rapid heart rate for a couple minutes. In both cases, it went away.

I read it could be SVT which scared the hell out of me. I can't have another arrhythmia. It just fuels my anxiety, which is already bad enough. Could it be something else?? I'm so scared and sick of living with these abnormalities.

I apologize if my post seems scattered and unorganized. I'm just really worried and scared. My anxiety has a hold on me tight.

If you think you could fork over the bucks for an appointment, then DO it!  Explain your financial difficulties very clearly to your doc at that time,  There is a bit of flexibility for the poor in the system, though it is not well known.  But you must tell your doctor about it to benefit.

I am unemployed and without insurance. I couldn't even afford Obamacare. I am a full time student exclusively living off of loans. I'm trying to get a job, but its not going so well.

I really want to wear a Holter monitor but those things can be extremely expensive. I could probably fork the money over for an appointment with a doc, but beyond that....

It ***** and I'm scared. My anxiety doesn't make it any better.

Seriously, investigate Obamacare. I was earning next to nothing with a small part-time job, but I called, and they accepted me. At least call--the worst they can say is no.

I think you are going to have to find a way to afford a doctor.

Your symptoms do indicate that you might have some kind of rhythm problem, but without a pretty solid formal education in medicine, you aren't going to get anywhere with online research, because you will not be able to understand the biology of the heart.  Just for an example, PVCs do not in any way have anything to do with pressure relief.

You need to be sitting in front of a living, breathing doc who knows your history, your heart's anatomy, and has a bunch of test results in front of him/her.

As to the cost of affording a doctor, my son says he cannot.  He is a bike mechanic and pulls down a pretty small salary, but the truth is that he actually could afford ObamaCare if he chose to budget strictly, but he is not willing to brown-bag it instead of having lunches with friends or make other small daily savings.

Your situation might be more severe, but still, you might want to take a hard look at your expenses and make up a formal budget, because none of us is going to need LESS medical care as we get older.
