I think I might have a heart problem?

I'm a 17 year old competitive athlete (MMA) with a good diet. There is no history of heart problems in my family. Back around the end of November I left school after feeling faint and having heart palpitations. I've been to the doctor and they said I had a stomach virus. Its been about a month and a half and I'm still not feeling well. I have days where I just can't tough it out at school and I've had so many absences. I've been to the doctor about 5/6 times, and the ER once, where my EKG came back normal, my bloodwork came back normal, and my chest X-ray came back normal as well. They also did an ultrasound on my legs to make sure it wasn't a blood clot. The doctor essentially said I was dehydrated, which I wasn't; although I made sure to drink extra fluids. My symptoms include: Nausea (first to show up), dizziness, sometimes lightheadedness, chest pain (slight), palpitations, upset stomach, and anxiety. Ive thought this could be anxiety related, but i allowed myself a few days over winter break to relax and really forget about anything stressful, and the symptoms haven't let up. Im terrified that this could be a heart issue, and i know stressing about it doesn't help, but nobody can give me an answer as to what's wrong, and I'd like to get better more than anything. The symptoms SOMETIMES let up for a few hours, but its been a long time now and i mostly feel terrible in the morning or at night. although it does happen throughout the day. I also barely have an appetite and I'm losing weight.

I don't think this has anything to do with your heart. Your heart seems fine. Palpitations is usually a sign of infections or anemia etc. Some people have it anyway. It is also not sure your palpitations are connected with the rest of your symptoms, you could have had them before but noticed them ones you got sick. Either way, relax about your heart but do find a good doctor who can figure this out and treat you before you lose anymore of your school time.

Im not sure about my testing rate in the ER, I was feeling faint form the blood work, but my EKG was normal and my pulse at the doctor was normal the most recent time. there was a time when I went to the doctor where my pulse was pretty high (about 95) when I'm normally around 60/70 since I'm such an avid athlete. That was the day they sent me to the ER so I imagine it was similar. My heart rate doesn't even seem too fast or irregular, just very strong and noticeable, sometimes rapid.  Im supposed to get more blood taken for a possible thyroid issue and things like mono and anemia, but I'm holding off until monday to see if things die down a bit. Next step is for me to wear a heart monitor for a bit, if they can't find anything.

I'm sure you have been asked by your doctors, but I think it worth your time and effort to think about your life and any changes physical or mental that began when and/or just before your problem symptoms.   Be sure you don't have a secrete you don't what to tell your doctor... they can't help unless you make the effort to describe in detail where, what, when, what were you doing before that..?

What is your resting heart rate?   is it regular to your senses (I like to use a stethoscope) how dies it sound?  I clear double regular beat?  What about blood pressure?  No going back to re-read, assume you doctor(s) did an EKG .  But if you can detect any strange heart beat behavior you may get an answer from wearing a recording (simple three point in my experience) heart monitor.  The minimum in my view is to ware one for 24 hours.  Some times it is necessary to wear longer  It has been a number of years, but I think I wore one for at least 10 days, maybe two weeks.

Your symptoms seem to broad/variable to be heart - but could be heart in combination with other physical and/or mental problems.

I'd not worry about a heart even that can't be handled by ER... or said another way, I'd not worry about a heart even.  Yep, relax.. ha, I have some anxiety/depression issues and relax, or get happy, isn't easy to accomplish.   I mention only to testify i am not making light of mental problems.
