ILR

Hi, I have an ILR. The monthly  reports shows the presenting rhythm and histogram. I have shown two months below. Can anyone explain why there are times when the presenting rhythm is higher then the histogram range as in the second set. Please do not ask me to ask my cardiologist, he does not seem to like answering my questions. Also why my monthly presenting rhythms vary month to month from brachycardia to sinus rhythm to tachycardia, Please do not ask me to ask my cardiologist, he does not seem to like answering my questions.  Thanks!

Implanted loop recorder.
Presenting rhythm: ST 100 bpm
HR Histograms: Ranging from 50-100 bpm
Events: 2 tachy recordings, 1 egm available, oversensing artifact

Presenting rhythm: ST 103 bpm
HR Histograms: Ranging from 50-100 bpm

How did you get the information from loop? I also have a loop but they never give me anything.

As for the answer to your question, it’s normal for your heart rate to vary second to second minute to minute it’s completely normal. A normal heart rate is 60 to 100 but anything outside that range is not considered abnormal as your heart rate correlates to whatever your doing. Resting it can be lower, cleaning etc it can be higher.
Your report is saying your heart rate ranged from 50 to 103 beats per minute. So anything under 60 is bradycardia and anything over 100 is tachycardia but 103 is hardly concerning. 50 is also not concerning if it was during rest, so long as your not having symptoms it’s okay.

There is no mention of any arrhythmia’s. ST means sinus tachycardia which is okay.
