Low Potassium and Acid Reflux

Hi there

So in May i had taken some aspirin, well a lot of aspirin due to tooth ache and about 2 weeks later it caused really bad acid reflux, i though i was having heart attack so going into the hospital they did an ECG and all that and said my heart was fine... but at the same time i was getting lameness in my arms and legs and tingling.... that they didn't understand and did a routine blood count but don't think they checked electrolytes. anyway, i went home with some pills to keep the acid down and was on a whole lot of gaviscon to help my oesophagus to heal... its took about 3 weeks for the pain to really subside and about 3 months for its to be really decent, i still get pains in my chest now and again but a month after the acid reflux i started getting this pressure headache that would not go away and lasted a month, and was at the same time still getting the numbness in my limbs.... went to Dr and hospitals and they said i was fine... so over the passed couple weeks i noticed a huge swelling in my neck i thought was my thyroid, had the test but my thyroid was fine... went to Dr on friday for the lameness and he said that the swelling in my neck could be caused by the acid build up.... but then he tested my potassium levels and they were 3.1 (normal is supposed to be 3.5-5.0) so I'm on a hight potassium diet but my question is can acid reflux and potassium levels be connected... and how long does it take for your body to recover from Potassium imbalance... because i still feel abnormal everyday i wake up..... i have to go through the day feeling lame and unfocused. and getting heart palpitations... someone please tell me what i should do.

I'm taking Nu U Magnesium Citrate 200mgs for very similar reasons. I constantly suffer from palpitations and have an hiatus hernia, causing bad acid reflux. I'm also taking Omega 3, 6 & 9 fish oils. I suffer from bad anxiety which I think is contributing to my palpitations. Horrible feeling but hope this helps.
