Low heart rate?

Hi all! So I am lying here in bed, relaxed, checking out my Facebook, when I decided to check my pulse (I have heart anxiety and check my pulse several times a day) and noticed my heart rate is  58bpm. I am kinda concerned since I am not an athlete, quite the contrary. I do some physical activity but nothing strenous. Is 58bpm too low? My usual heart rate is between 68-80 when sitting down/working. Please help!

agree with achillea^^^ 110%.  I went to a cardiology appointment with my mom recently and he was talking about a guy who takes his BP 3 x per day.  Doc was like..."don't do that".    Also, I used to monitor my pulse too. no good came from it.  I stopped.

Thank you both so much. I know I need to stop checking my pulse, it makes me more anxious tbh. It all started almost 2 years ago after having some PVC's, but after several tests my cardiologist said my heart is strong and healthy. I need to believe my him, its just that sometimes its hard to do so.
When the real problem is not the heart but something psychological, it's important to see the correct doctor.

In this case, one sees a psychologist for a psychological problem, right?

Your heart rate is perfectly normal.
Are you receiving treatment for your heart anxiety?  If not, it would be a good idea.  No one gets any useful information from checking the pulse several times a day.  It's a nervous habit, like picking at a scab.

58 isn't bad, im 2t and my resting hr dropped to 42 bpm while on a monitor and my doctor said not to worry. I was also om cardizem at the which lowers the hr. But day to day with no meds my hr can drop below 60 bpm.
