mitral valve prolapse and heart block question

When I was in my 20s I was on prozac and told I had 1st degree heartblock most likely to Prozac. I was also told I had mitral valve prolapse at one point. My question is this, now 42, I looked at my last exercise echo and also my old testing and the paper work says trivial tricuspid regurgitation but mvp not evident. Also it said nothing about heart block. Does this mean the heart block went away and did they mess up on the mvp diagnoses at first or is the tricuspid thing the same at mvp?

thank you for the reply. I was curious if the heart block may have gotten better and perhaps the tricuspid is related to mpv or maybe they made a mistake and i dont hve mpv?

MVP and heart block are two totally seperate issues jenny.  Roughly 30 % of the entire population has mitral valve prolapse and the majority of them will go thru life without an issues altho as we increase in age the risks also increase when we hit our 60's forward.  When we have MVP which i do too there is generally some sort of regurgitation going on or backflow of blood and usually no biggie and is a common occurance and that is how the docs hear the swishing sound with their stethescope which alerts them that a little something something may be going on.  Trust me bad news comes very quickly from heart docs when something is wrong...i would go straight to the horses mouth and ask them why everything seems to have changed...they are the only ones who can really answer youre question accurately...good luck
