Question about P.O.T.S.?

I've been reading up about P.O.T.S. and a lot of the times it says that P.O.T.S. is when someone goes from the supine position to standing position and their heart rate jumps 30bpm or more.  And then some of the sites say that this has to happen "within 30 minutes".  So does that mean if someone's bpm jumps 30 or more only for about a few seconds then it starts to lower again, it is not POTS? I'm really confused about the time frame that these sites talk about.

Someone with POTS will not be able to maintain the blood pressure while standing without a high increase in heart rate. Heart rate will sometimes increase a lot some seconds after standing up, both caused by a drop in the blood pressure, and the fact that muscle work with standing up (especially after sitting for a while) requires an increased heart rate.

It doesn't sound like you have POTS if your heart rate normalizes shortly after standing :) but of course a physician should have the last word.
