PAC/PVC - Thud feeling in chest. What are these?

Had PACs/PVCs all my life. Over 12 years. I've experienced it all, but nobody has really explained those "thuds".

I could be sitting down working away on my computer and out of nowhere I feel the pause, then a huge thud! Sometimes my heart will get all out of sync for about a second and I have felt 2 thuds one after the other in the past.

They say they're not harmful. Anyone who has felt these knows for a fact that it's hard to stay "calm" during an episode. I will tend to bolt upright, and take a breath of air quickly. I then feel a flushed feeling all over my body for a moment. All of this lasts seconds! And then my heart will just return to normal.

I can get about 5 of these a day. Some days non. Some days I get one, a minute later another, and another. Until finally it goes away.

I can deal with the flutters, I just can't deal with the thuds. They scare the crap out of me. Could anyone explain what these are please and why they are felt as a thud?

I think the thud feeling is from the force of blood that fills in the ventricles during the pause from a PVC. It has extra time to fill which allows for more blood to  be pumped out.

I have the exact same thing you described to a T! I am 22 and have had atleast one episode of this weekly for the last 3 years, however the last 2 months ive had several epsiodes a day - sometimes they happen whilst im sitting at work typing away and it knocks the wind out of me .. I go to feel my pulse but cant feel any for about a second or 2 and then a big thump sometimes its just the once and sometimes i get a couple of these in a row (especially if Im bending over or lifting above my head or standing quickly) in which case i get a hot flash throughout my whole body. I often look around to see who can give me CPR because it makes me feel like I'm about to drop dead! I'm looking for answers so pm me if you find out what this is or have any tricks to avoid them!

Are you hydrated?
Is your magnesium and potassium in balance?

Is your Vitamin D optimal?

You have to catch the event on an EKG to know for sure.  I've had heavy hitters too but never caught them when I was wearing holter monitors trying to figure it out.

If I had to guess I'd say it's a PVC, the timing was such that it happened in the middle of the atria contracting and this causes the top and bottom part of the heart to pump against each other causing the abrupt and troubling sensations.
