You're not alone - I too am having a bad PVC week so please take comfort in knowing there's lots of us experiencing the same thing a the same time!! I take a magnesium supplment as I heard that it helped ease PVCs but I have to honest and say that I've found that it doesn't. I got the point were I would try anything to ease them but sadly, this was no good. I have since learnt through another memebr of this forum that she takes a Hawthorn supplmement. I've looked online about it and it's called a old fashioned "heart tonic". Now I haven't taken any yet so can't comment on the benifitis but you may want to check it online yourself and see what you think. I too would be very happy if anyone could share with us the secret of having a PVC free life!!

Thanks for the info. they did do a electrolyte test when i was having the pvc's. The MD said it was a little low but not out of range. So that is why they gave the Magnesium. I try to get as much sleep as i can, but me and my wife are raising 5 kids and i am currently in nursing school as well as working full time. Thanks again i hope camping was fun

I found out that we can be dehydrated and not even know it and that will cause pvc's. As we get older, our sense of thirst doesn't work as well, so we need to be mindful to drink enough water. I have had days where I had pvc's... remembered to drink a lot more water and they stopped. :)

Have you had your electrolytes tested?  That they gave you a Magnesium drip is interesting to me.  Usually, with benign PVC's they would never even consider such a treatment.  To have given you IV Magnesium indicates to me that you had an imbalance at the time.  You should have a blood serum exam done, and it would probably be good to have it drawn during a spell of PVC's (not that you're having PVC's at the MOMENT of blood draw, but that you are experiencing them regularly during the period of time at which you will go to get your blood drawn).

Your thread title indicates that you have experienced a lack of sleep lately.  This is a HUGE factor for most of us.  Consider trying to grab some extra ZZZZ's and trying to assure at least 8 hours per night.  This may well take care of a large portion of your symptoms, though PVC's sometimes just have to run their course before getting better.

Be well.

I take magnesium every day for leg cramps.....I still get PVCs, sometimes more, sometimes less.  I will tell you that lack of sleep can cause them to be more frequent, as I've experienced this quite often.  However, I've had to stay awake all night at times and have had none.  Go figure.  Well, I quit trying to figure them out.  BUT I will say, like others here, I know when I'm going to have a bad day BEFORE they even start.  That general weakness, tiredness....icky feeling.  Here is a strange one for you all:  Coffee sometimes makes them go AWAY!  I think because it wakes me up and on the days when they are coming because of being tired, it works.  HAHAHAHA
