Tachycardia episodes

I'm a 18 year old female currently diagnosed with Idiopathic intracranial hypertension. 5'7" wieghing roughly 160lbs.
The past couple of hospital visits i have had, the doctors have noticed me experiencing tachycardia episodes (well the first time it was noticed was a 3 week hospital stay and not once during that time did my heart rate go down below 100, i was experiencing an average 108-120, Even got a few recordings of around 140-150), the second hospital stay it was just episodes and i overheard the doctors mention it was whilst i was in pain. I've had ECG's done but the doctors seem reluctant to actually tell me anything right now. Now i can be just laid in bed and i will feel my heart racing to a painful level and at times it's hard to breathe. I'm just wondering if i'm too concerned about this and it actually is just related to being in pain from my condition.

There is some authoritative information on the Internet that associates IIH with heart rate variability.  You should check it out.  Are you being treated, or have you been just diagnosed?  IIH appears to be something that you should get treated for right away.
