Heart arrhythmia scare. Probably just PACs PVCs?

Hi everyone I'm new here. First let me say I'm in BC, Canada

So the last 3 or 4 days I've been suffering from a lot of chest discomfort, mild pain, minor light headedness and the like. Occasionally I'll also get what feels like the odd skipped beat. I went to the clinic yesterday and the DR there ordered an EKG and blood work. The blood work all came back normal and today I was awaiting the results of the EKG. At work today however I had a small series of what felt like very major skipped beats! One actually made me feel dizzy, tinny bit nauseous, was a bit painful and felt like I had to suddenly catch my break. The palms of my hands also suddenly became sweaty. This lasted a total of a second or less however. The others were less major but companied by chest discomfort, mild light headedness and were VERY disconcerting!!

Because of these I went to the ER after work and had myself checked out. The DRs there ran a battery of tests including their own EKG, blood work (including electrolyte panel) and chest X-Ray. Everything came back perfectly normal.

Now here I should add a few things. I had a series of similar arrhythmias back in high school many years ago, wore a holter monitor for a week and they picked up nothing. I've been a long time anxiety and depression sufferer, been battling these most of my life. They have in fact seriously crippled me to the point where I've had difficulty holding down jobs or school for the past decade, however having said that except for maybe once a year or so and that series back in HS heart palps are not usually part of my symptom repertoire, certainly not this many. I have also lost a lot of weight in the past year ( over 100 lbs) intentionally by diet and exercise. I've gone from a 266lb cough potatoe to a lean 166lb semi athletic guy. I was walking 100km a week around the city for a while, hiking in the mountains, and now I run almost every day 4km. I'm up to almost 2 7min miles (with a short walk in-between) a day.

I mentioned this history to the DRs of course and they said that given my age (32), the fact that all the tests came back negative and how much exercise I am doing without consequences during they don't think there is anything to worry about. The DR said that it's MUCH more likely anxiety and or stress and that I should keep up my running and exercise and only come back if something new develops.

I'm happy with this news and feel they are probably right. Having said that I can't help but still worry. My father has sick sinus syndrome and had to have a pace maker installed some years back. That's something that is extremely hard for them to catch but they didn't seem to make a deal about it. Also in my mind I've not usually associated PACs or PVCs with pain or chest discomfort, light headedness or the other symptoms I'm having. Has anyone else been in a similar situation? Do you think I'm over worrying at this point given the tests I've had done?

Thanks for listening!!

I do not suffer from PVCs but agree some of your symptoms seem to be unusual (at least) for benign PVCs.  Still at your age and with the professional medical attention you have received it seems you should not worry... just that my be a big step toward feeling better.

There are others who contribute to this community and with my reply you're post will go again to the top of the list.. perhaps that will help attract more helpful inputs.
