What new drugs have been effective for PVC’s?

I have been suffering with severe PVCs for years now every other beat was a PVC and extremely aware of them, not only was it terrifyingly frightening with the fear of death impending but it just put me in such a deep depression I couldn’t function normally and I’m a nurse. I tried every medication they gave me metoprolol, propranolol, atenolol, etc. until they finally hit on a new medication by Bystolic!   I hit the jackpot, it was like night and day!  I take 20 mg in the morning with 125 mg of magnesium taurate then 5mg of Norvasc for HTN then take 10 mg of by Bystolic at night with 125 mg of magnesium taurate in between I take .5 Xanax in the morning and at night I have not had one PVC in the last three years I feel like a different human being!  Every now and then I get a 3 second run of tachycardia but it goes right away and sometimes I’ll get that flip-flopping feeling and a couple skipped beats here and there but I don’t let it bother me because it’s nothing and I mean nothing like the terror I was going through all those years. So for anybody out there looking for a new medication ask your doctor about by Bystolic and give it a try. Good luck to all of your fellow suffers with PVCs, only we know the anxiety that this can bring on. God bless you all.

It’s hard to predict what will suppress PVCs. It’s sort of different for every patient.

Thanks for this! I too have PVCs (and Long QT, occasional tachycardia, etc.).  Metoprolol works for me, especially when I take it with a Super C vitamin that includes Vitamin D and zinc.  The doc had tried me on Bystolic when I was in the hospital 2 years ago and it worked too.  Glad you found something that helped you and hope that you're still doing well!

I am on Metoprolol now for PVCs that are nonstop and it’s not helping at all. Will mention this to my doc. I’m having another ablation next month.
