anxiety and HBP

To be short, i took a new medication that cause my heart to race, (120's- 130 topped) and stopped after 4 doses. Ever since then i have been majorly hyper aware of my heart and can feel everything it does. My PVC's are reacting too, im getting pvc's everyday again, although they are not as bad as they used to be (6,600 in a day before, now maybe 5-10) But it stresses me out, i keep feeling like that medication messed me up and made something wrong out of a heart that was structurely normal before. My BP was 110/70 as little as 6 months ago, but my last 3 visits to the Doc have been 135/140 over 80ish. This morning it was 140/88 (but my anxiety has been sky high in the am and seems to settle by afternoon) As the day goes on, my heart BP starts to settle into 120/80 range

Am i right in thinking this is stress related? My pcp wants to put me on an SSRI to control it and see how it goes.

Nothing about that drug is likely to harm you in the long term. You are likely fine. I think maybe pursuing the anxiety treatment plan is an appropriate course.
