Hi Carey,
I can relate to your post. I have had pvc's for years, then out oft he blue one day I had Afib like you in ER converted with meds. I was told my heart was fine after going through all the tests again. I was good for two years then another brief episode of afib lasted 10 minutes and converted on its own. Then my occasional pvc's turned into 24/7 pvc's and I decided to see an EP. In january I had an ablation to take care of thh afib, they also found SVT. My pvc's could not be ablated. Sometimes Afib is just a one time occurance Lone Afib, and they never find out what caused it. For me it seemed like the vagus nerve would kick off my afib. Both times I had an upset stomach. It will take you a whle to get over the fear of it happening again, but you will move on from it.
I hope its just a one time thing for you. Good Luck!
Ask your Cardiologist about Catheter Ablation for Afib. Many of us on this site have been through it.Some are happy about the results and some are still healing and some are considering going again. Converting with meds is a good thing. But I'd ask about other options 'cause information can help with the anxiety you are feeling.
