connection between menses and rhythm

I wonder if there are any studies that explore the connection between female hormones and rapid heart beats? I'm 52 and have been menopausal for a couple years. Between the ages of 12 (when I began menstruating) and 50, I had periodic rapid heart beats and realized when my menses tapered off during perimenopause that the rapid heart beats only happened during the first days of my period. I haven't suffered from them since I stopped having periods.
Though I saw  my GP and heart specialists about the arrhythmia no connection was ever suggested. Now my niece has the same problem.

Hunya,

I tend to suffer with supraventricular tachycardia more around the time of menses. I firmly believe there is a connection, yes.

Yes, this has been extremely well documented.  try googling on  a term I copied right from your post "female hormones and rapid heart beats", the first article from the Cleveland clinic will have much good info including citations.
