I have VT - palpitations/light-headed all day - what to do?

Hi - I have a defibrillator and was diagnosed with VT years ago.  I'm not very active and I recently pressure washed my deck, all sides and bottom.  After that, I was pretty stiff/sore, I proceeded to drink a little more than a bottle of wine, ate dinner, and went to bed.

Around 3am I woke up and realized I was having many palpitations - 3 or more per minute and it did not stop.  It's now 7pm and it's still going on.  If I stand for too long I feel light headed - actually sometimes a little light-headed even when laying down.  Overall I feel pretty uncomfortable.

Given that I have the onboard defibrillator, should I just try to ride this out or should I visit an ER?  What could they do to make it stop palpitating?

Thanks

Odds are it was triggered by dehydration and stomach upset.  Try to drink lots of water and see if it helps.   Considering you have VT it wouldn't be unwise to go to the ER if you are having excessive pvcs but you have to go by what you feel is best.  I am not sure they would do much more than give you meds to help calm the heart but considering your history no one would blame you if you felt the need to go and it might be good to be looked at to be sure.  Hope you feel better soon but do try to drink lots of water either way.  Take care.
