ok so I did that heart monitor thing then the dr put me on a beta blocker had ultrasound then dr sees me today and says all these words that i don't know and tells me that part of the right side of my heart is racing and maybe they will need to go thru my groin try to make the heart do it's thing then burn it. Has anyone heard of that? If so, what is he talking about? I don't even know what kind of questions to ask him. So I say ok and leave can anyone help me? This
dr's office has an e-mail system should I get involved in that? A bit nervous my dad and his 7 siblings all had heart problems. So if anyone has ideas for questions I should be asking I'd be grateful. Thanks

When it comes to ablations, you really have to do your homework on who, how, when, where, etc.  I am still contemplating that option also.  There's the radio-frequency type and the cryo type which involves freezing the heart tissue.  And there are other methods as well.  So your cardiologist or electrophysiologist could make suggestions as to which procedure would best fit your particular situation.

You doctor is talking about a ablation procedure which is widely used (it is invasive, a surgery vai catheters through the arteries).

See: http://www.medhelp.org/search?query=ablation  and read through the posts, you can also do a search on the web for "heart ablation" to get some general descriptions.

Ablation is a subject frequently discussed on this community.
