I have the same symptoms
The doctors aren't bothered about my condition at this stage. My heart is thudding which makes it ache. I have done my own research and I believe my symptoms are linked with emotional stress.
The hard fast beat hasn't stopped its been months now. I go to the gym regularly
I get heart PVCs too! It feels like a stop a pause then a real hard beat! Sometimes it is scary like your heart will not start again. I have also had my heart start to pund so fast it is more like it's vibrating! The recovery beat after the skip sometimes hurts like it hits my ribs with force. I can hear these hard thuds in a quiet room. and can see them too! I though have always had a strong visible heart. My heart has always been strong and powerful and visible! I am an athletic man'6' tall 210 lbs. I workout do martial arts, am healthy as can be. But my heart beats like a hammer in my chest. I have visible pulsations on my chest and it shakes my whole body. After exercise, you would be able to hear and see it thumping standing next to me. My Dr. says I am healthy as a Tiger and it's just from being athletic. It makes a large muscular heart.
Is your heart visible when it does this?
Jason
Just for your peace of mind, it isn't life threatening, but it can get to the point where it is disruptive so you may want to get it treated if it turns out it is svt and not just a run of ectopic beats. But you need to get evaluated to find out if you are candidate for ablation.
I will visit the doctors this week. Thank you for your help. I would have just ignored it like I have been doing for the past week
I agree it is slow but it feels really fast from the inside,
I will definitely go to the doctors this week. Thank you for your help
I am going to agree with Tom and say some sort of svt or ectopic issues is going on. You were monitored when you were younger but it may not have been caught. it usually isn't until we get older and it becomes more active that it gets to a point where the issue can be treated. But like Tom says, you need to get to a doctor to get a monitor and catch it so you know what you are dealing with. Best of luck getting it sorted out and keep us posted on what you find out.
Lets go for the easy guess. It could be among other things Supraventricular Ectopics. If it's happening often, you really need to see a physician and let them take a look at it. Also 43bpm is quite slow.
So I just took my reading, 43 beat per minute
Around 3-4beats in one second,
I haven't measured my rate when it's normal but usually it's a low number. Yesterday my heart rate was between 60-70. Which I think is considered as normal I think. I am active
It doesn't gradually speed up. Right now it's normal then all of a sudden it starts beating fast. I would say in one second I get three beats. And this last for 49-60 seconds
I'm unsure what this is. When I was younger I was given a monitor to record my heart rate but the doc didn't do much
As well as Tom question, how fast is it going? What is the rate when it is normal and what is it when it is fast?
Do these episodes gradually build in speed, or do they seem to start and end suddenly?
