Brooke,
Thank you for the response. I'm going to my Doctor Jan 16 and will ask about it them. I believe your comments will help articulate my problem to her.

Hello...
Have you had any of this checked out by your Primary Care Dr or had an appt with a Cardiologist? If you have not yet been to either, this would be a starting point. You'll want to make sure to have all the proper testing...EKG, Echocardiogram, Holter or Event Monitor, probably a good idea to have an exercise stress test.
All those tests would either rule out or in some type of defect or disease in the heart or surrounding arteries. Do you have any risk factors that might suggest heart disease(CAD) as a possibility?
Your symptoms could be a type of arrhythmia...Because you haven't had any of this picked up by a monitor or an EKG, it can't be determined, only guessed what may be occurring. If I had to guess, it sounds like it could be some type of SVT (supraventricular tachycardia) This is not a life threatening type of arrhythmia but ther are several types of SVT. If it is an Atrial Fib or Flutter, these 2 types can cause formation of blood clots that if released would increase the risk of stroke. Patients with these 2 types of arrhythmia need to also be treated with anticoagulants (Coumadin) as well as rate and rhythm control medications.
I think that you should make a call to your Dr to get the ball rolling on confirming a diagnosis to this rapid heart rate. Please give us an update so that we know how you are making out with this. Also, if we can further assist you, just come on back:)
