I had my first ablation at 29 for WPW, which worked. I am now 46 years old andapproximately 5 years ago I began having PVCs frequently. Then I began having SVTs more often and was hospitalized at one point. I was seen by an electrophysiologist who suggested an ablation but I chose to try flecainide for a while. I was on Flecanide for 4 years which made me feel terrible and begin to stop working. This March 19th 2015 I had an ablation done by a very reputable and recommended electrophysiologist who ablated me for atrial tachycardia which he said worked. The last 3 weeks I have had some episodes of SVT as well as PVCs running together, but not as bad as before. I am now wearing a heart monitor to try and catch these events so my electrophysiologist can figure out what to do next. I'm terrified that it did not work and I may have to have another surgery. I have two small children and a very active life and a very active job which requires a lot of physical work. Any suggestions or recommendations. should I be concerned that the procedure did not work or is it still too soon? I am NOT taking any medication except for metoprolol as needed when the events happen.
