slight pain associated with heart palpitations

I drove myself 2 times over the last two weeks to the ER for heart palpitations.  I took the Treadmill Stress Test, EKG, assorted blood work, and Echo and...Praise GOD all of the test were negative.  I was dehydrated and I've made a conscientous effort to rectify this.  It's been 5 days since I left the ER from an overnight stay.  My palpitation seem to have eased, somewhat however I seem to now get a random slight chest pain sometimes with the heart palpitations.  Has anyone else experienced these symptoms.  I will not be able to see a cardiologist for at least another 2 weeks...due to the Christmas/New Years holiday period

Sounds like you need to see a cardiologist, and the ER work done suggests that you should not have to worry a but the short wait for your appointment.

Check out the list of heart attack symptoms (I have never had one, happily, and forget the list of sights)... if you get a strong match you may need to consider another run to ER.

My wife has suggested that I take a garlic dietary supplement to help ease my heart palpitations.  Has anyone had any success with using garlic to ease heart palpitations?

Hello Forum,

I was wondering, of those among us, are their any that suffer with heart palpitations on a daily basis?

You do not want to drink at all or smoke or consume high sugar / sodium if you get pvc pac or tachy

About the New Years beer...you are a brave man :)  My regular doctor will be back in town on 5 Jan 2015, at that point he will decipher all of my test results, from my two ER visits, and give me further guidance.  I truly, truly appeciate this forum and your personal sacrifice of time, as it has helped to calm my anxiety level down considerably.  May GOD Bless you and your family

My palpitations started in late July of 2014. I found out caffeine and alcohol would cause my heart to go crazy. But the month before I went out drinking and nothing. Not a single pvc. Strange right? Since I started on my treatment back in early November of 2014 my pvc's have considerably gone down from a few everyday to now a couple every couple of weeks. The feeling of the heart pounding in my neck feeling is slowly going away and I can finally sleep on my left side. So overall yes this treatment of taking 9,000IU and 350MG of Magnesium from Natural Calm everyday is helping. It hasn't completely gone away but I think it's gonna take some time for my D levels to rise to optimal range before they go away for good. I sleep better. I also drank a beer last night for the first time since July for New Years and guess what? Not a single PVC. So it's so strange how that works. Not a doctor or a cardiologist would know something like this. I hope this helps in some way.

Thank you for the reply.  How long did you have the palpitations?  Did your treatment cause them to go away?

Look and find out if taking Mag is something you might benefit from. Also, if you had a test for it or not, ask your doctor for a Vitamin D test and see where your levels are at. Heart palpitations can be caused by many things. Since you did all the test I have done before and everything came up negative, it usually means it has nothing to do with the heart and your getting palpitations as a symptom from something else. I used to have slight chest/shoulder pain with my palpitations and I never knew why exactly but for me I think it was my unbalance of hormones (Low Vitamin D) and electrolytes. Look into L-carnitine, CoQ10, D-ribose, and Magnesium if you want a healthy heart. Hoping for the best for you.

The best that works (sometimes) for me is to think about something fun, or I'd like to buy, or maybe I may buy... anything but worrying - not easy but worth a try.

On health I always assume/believe I will get over it or the "cure" will be administered on my next doctor visit

Anxiety *****!

Thanks Jerry.  I've started drinking more water and also eating two bananas a day for breakfast in order to promote a more healthy heart.  I guess waiting to see a cardiologist is just adding to my anxiety.
