tachicardia

I was given Verapamil 180mg to control BP and tachicardia. Has anyone tried this drug for the same condition and experience  good result? Thank you

Hi annie . Thank you very much for your answer. I couldn`t say thanks before but I really apreciate your answer  and it encouraged me to take the tablets. Unfortunately I react badly to many drugs, but il will take them eventually.
I hope it will not finish in an ablation

I took verapamil for 15 years for svt tachycardia before having an ablation to correct the problem.  I started off on 120 mg but that was not strong enough, so was moved up to 240 mg. It successfully controlled the tachycardia for many years.  In the last few years I had more breakthrough episodes, but I think that is common with any medicine as our body seems to adjust to it.  I had no side effects whatsoever.
