Hemorrhoidal annoyance! It's the elephant in my room!!

I have had hemorrhoids for the last 15 years, ever since my last son was born.  Sometimes they are flared and sometimes less cumbersome but albeit, still there.  How can I get rid of them once and for all without surgery as that is not an option?  I would prefer not to miss any work related to something of this nature.  I know, what's another day when I have already put up with its behavior this long, sort of like I was enabling it!  I have had an ah ha moment and it's time for a change so please advise!  Plus...it's embarrassing during sex with the fiance...I do everything I can so he doesn't notice or see but 6 years is too long to have to hide something nor do I feel like embracing it!

I had hemorrhoids for many years.  Had surgery for them.  Got them tied off periodically.  Nothing helped.  Sometimes so painful!

Are you using laxatives or straining at the toilet?  Either of those issues point to a need for dietary changes.

I believe two changes fixed my problems.

If you are taking any supplement that is acidic, such as apple cider vinegar, then quit using this.  If you put a squeezed lemon in water daily, stop it.

Remove anything acidic that might travel through your gut and irritate your anus on the way out.

Second, start taking additional dietary fiber.  I take a spoonful of Kirkland Optifiber in the AM and PM (breakfast and dinner).

I did these things and now rarely have any 'rhooids come back.

Hello. Sorry about the major delay in answer! Hemorrhoids can be so uncomfortable. And sound to be creating other issues in your life. Speak to your doctor. But yes, they do have surgery that is available for hemorrhoids.   https://www.medicalnewstoday.com/articles/324439
