Hemorroids, weightlifting and sitting?

I recently had a colonoscopy and they found what they called an external 'Hypertrophied anal papilla(e)'. Otherwise, everything was good as far as the colonoscopy. Is this the same as hemorrhoid? I have heard other names also as 'skin tags', 'piles'. Are they all the same? Also, I have a desk job and sit for long periods of time. For example on Friday's I work 16 hour days. I have also exercised faithfully last 10 years or so lifting heavy weights. Could this cause hemorrhoids?

May I ask that are haemorrhoids whether internal or external genetic or simply inherit from parents?

No its not from lifting. These are basicly polyps that can be removed.

Hi Life360 and thanks for the response. So possible that working out by lifting, pushing heavy weights at the gym caused this?

Hi, hemorrhoid are a not the  same. They are damaged tissues from pressure that forces blood and ballones the area until the blood is absorted back into the body or it pops and releases the blood external.
