Cronic or Acute?

Sep 07, 2010 (San Lazaro Hospital)
HBeAG - Nonreactive (Ratio - 0.429 COV - >1)
Anti-HBe (HBe Ag-Ab) - Reactive (Ratio - 0.027 COV <0.9)

As you can see those were the result of my medical.
My good doctor (san lazaro hospital) told me that im a carrier and the good about it is that im non infectious.. But she also told me that i now have an anti bodies. The bad side is that my anti bodies were gained because of my previous cronic state (according to her if im not mistaken).

Can anyone elaborate the last result that i took? This is the last test that my doctor requested me to know if your a chonic of acure.... For me she said cronic :-(

Pls help
Thanks!

no at the moment hbv has no cure, you have to check liver damage by fibroscan if you have liver damage you can lower virus replication to stop damage but not eradicate virus

you are still infectious by blood/sex, your blood will be infectious even if you clear virus but much less infectious especially by sex

Ah.. so you mean to say that there still hope to clear the virus? i hope so..
by the way, is it right that anti-HBc Total, should be requested, to know if you have acute of chronic infection? Im wondering coz my doctor requested for HBeAG and Anti-HBe and not Anti-HBc total?.... then i ask her,.. she said Im already cronic.. Im still hoping that my situation is only acute..

Thank you for the advice dude.. i appreciate it....

you are 100% cronic your state is pretty clear, you just need to know the following to know how aggressive hbv is, eradication is not possible:
hbe/hbeab
fibroscan, to see liver damage
hbvdna
alt/ast

all info about hbv is here:

What will the blood test result on

What is the prognosis for a person just diagnosed as Acute Hep B....what does the future hold...

only 5-10% risk of cronic hbv, only 5% risk of active hbv

hbv is a big problem only when infected at birth or very young, in that case cronic risk is almost 99%
