Do I still need the hepa B vaccine?

Hi, Im female. My boyfriend has taken hepa b screening test (hbsag) last June 2010 and is REACTIVE. Please interpret his result (CV = 0.105 ; PV = 2.1) we would like to know if his hepa b is acute or chronic. His doctor prescribed 'Essetiale Forte' to be taken in 6months period. Would this medicine cure him?

Just to be sure about my health, I also took hepa b screening test (hbsag) this August and Im REACTIVE. I was also advised to take Anti-HBs test to check if I'm immune to the hepa b virus. Here's my result please interpret it for me, and please advise if I still need to be vaccinated: CV = 0.095 ; PV = 0.145

Thanks in advance,

no you have cleared hbv already and had hepatitis b already, vaccine must be made at birth too late for vaccine now

now you are immune to hbv, be careful and avoid hcv and hav in the future, hav (hepatitis A) has a vaccine i'd make it to be sure liver will not have other viruses and damage in the future

Hi, Im so sorry. I've re-checked my HBsAg test its NON-REACTIVE, and my Anti-HBs is REACTIVE. I would like to know if I still need to be vaccinated with this anti-hbs result : CV = 0.095 ; PV = 0.145

Thanks in advance,

your results dont tell us much.
you need to run a complete blood work test. you need to run a liver function test. you need to run a complete hepB profile . you need to run a hepB DNA  test.
post the results on here and someone will be able to further assist you.

as far as it looks now, both you and your boyfriend have hepB virus.

not sure why his doctor is giving him medicine as medicine doesnt help cure acute hbsag. it takes care of itself so he either fights it off on his own or he doesnt.. maybe immune boosting natural food and rinks might help but meds not sure. i know some doctors do sugges tmeds for acute that helps enable the immune system to fight off the virus but we really dont know if you and/or your boyfriend are acture or chronic

runs the tests and let us know
good luck
