Dyslipidaemia

Had some bloodwork done this week. Results just came in.
Have extremely low levels of HDL (Good cholesterol) and raised LDL (Bad cholesterol) and also raised blood sugar.
My doctor seems to think its might be from the Tenofovir i have been taking for nearly 4 years now.
This trend seemed to start when i started taking TNF 4 years ago, followed for increased blood pressure levels.
Any suggestions on what to do to manage this?

i d check diet first and include anything with a glucose/chol lowering effect before thinking tdf

hdl can be increased by niacin, the ones the makes the red skin effect, doses less than 500mg are safe

bitter melon (Momordica charantia), 1L of tea per day can lower blood glucose.this has an anticancer effect on scientific studies (it lower glucose which feeds cancer).it also has an anti hbv substance in vitro but i dont think it is potent enough or high levels enough for any real effect on hbv

also what is your vitd25oh and intact pth?vit d regulates metabolic genes, a low vit d can also be the reason of these unbalances.remember to check pth too, vitd25oh alone cannot confirm there s no vit d deficiency

actually i also had high chol at 218 and low hdl 40, also organic red rice can help to lower chol it contains many statin compounds (chol lowering drugs were copied from this).
i am not sure if all red rice types are ok for this effect though, i think it must be produced the traditional way like asians did for centuries
