Effectiveness of Adefovir

6 weeks after Diagnosis of HepB I am now about to commence a treatment of Adefovir (10Mg). My HBV DNA count is circa 9.5M Iu/Ml. Anybody on the forum use this as a treatment. Specificially I am interested in its effectiveness and finding out whether or not I sill be on this "forever", thanks, Col.

My doc has take me off my treatment as he suspects that I am acute and not chronic. But for information this drug costs circa 3500 pounds sterling which is circa  $6000 per year for treatment (thats the 10m/g tablets).

I just started Adefovir after switching from clevudine. Ill share my results. Only thing i know right now is that it an expensive drug at $840 cdn per month. http://www.rxlist.com/hepsera-drug.htm has alot of information about the drug.
