If your immune system is weak this can happen.
You need to make sure your vitamin D level is good.
Take 5000 IU of vitamin D a day.
Hi There,
I also had very similar results in my last ultrasound that got me really puzzled and confused.
2 weeks ago, my regular ultrasound checked came with coarsed and grated liver texture. Until then it has always been fine.
I have been hbv chronic for the past 15 years and on entecavir for the past 4 - hbvDNA undetectable for the past 4 years as well. Im not sure my hbsag quantity bc we dont test this where i live.
But i have always had hbvdna below 2000 and as soon as i crossed 2000 i started on entecavir.
Liver enzymes (AST, ALT, GGT,B,ALKP) has alwasy been stable and within the range. However I have always had a high alpha pheto protein within the range 35-39 iu/ml. We have tested for hepatitis D and some other tests to ruled out any possible cause for a high Alpha pheto protein. My doc says that some patients can have high alpha pheto protein and as long as it doesn't increase it should be fine.
Overall, im very healthy, no alcohol, no transfat, exercise regularly and most of my diet is plant based and overall healthy food.
I was very surprised to see this results and I cant really understand how my liver is getting damage with hbvdna undetectable and not from food/drinking or medices (lat time I took a pain relief or similar med has been in years).
My doc was a bit puzzled too and prescribed me to do a Firboscan and fibromax exams so we can understand a bit more.
Unfortunely, he didnt want to say potential causes or reasons until we get the above tests back.
I would be happy to hear other people that went through similar situations and their outcomes.
I have an appointment for the tests by the end of the month and Ill update what my doc said after the exams.
But in relation to your question, since it seems like "early stage" of your coarsed liver, it should be reversible as long as you can find the cause of it and deal it with it.
(unhealthy food, meds, alcohol, etc..)
I hope it helps
Might be fatty liver. I had the same in my ultrasound and dr mentioned fatty liver
