Because you need a prescription. The doctor ordered the test because I mentioned darker urine and light colored stools.
I read that most "acute" infections had ast, alt numbers in the hundereds to thousands. The doctor ordered different blood tests to check my kidneys and liver.
I've never heard of low ast, alt or ggt numbers with an acute infection unless on meds. Also my numbers are in normal range. At best high normal range.
Sorry was trying to post new question not repost...
Are you to busy to answer questions? Is there anyone else who cares to help?
Where can I find private testing? I've been told I need a prescription?
Can you describe any symptoms you had? (Jaundice, bathroom issues, fatigue anything) need help from EXPERIENCED individuals
Im sorry, i didn t even see that you answer.
They ve changed this website lately, everything is messed up.
Ok, to answer: i didn t had any symptoms. On my annual testing, in 2012-2013-2014 my ALT was around : 35-37-41 - always on upper limit. Doctor said: don t worry about it. In 2015 i just choose random to test for hepB. On result i got hbsAg positive....
DNA-vhb was around 6000 ui/ml.
Only symptons that i have now is from time to time mild pain in right side on abdomen.
Now i m on entecavir 0.5mg for over 2years.
