How many of you got an Hep A vaccination after your were diagnosed with Hep B?

I'm in the US. My family doctor recommended to get a vaccination for Hep A since I got Hep B.
How many of you had their family doctor/specialist recommended the same and you followed the suggestion?
I'm still going to ask the new specialist I'm going to see soon, but was wondering how many of you actually did it and whatever if there is any reasons not to do it like it may mess up with your immune system which is already suppressed by the hbsag or there are some long term side effects from the vaccination and the risk is not worth it when living in a first world country.

What do you think?

Thanks!

of course we have no statistical data on this just some observations

the only really helpful vaccine for us should have been hbv vaccine at birth that they missed

hbvdna went back to out of range to be measured

of course this means in the billions, dont remember limits but in italy hbvdna are very good with range 10-20iu/ml to billions

after that she will make no vaccines ever because it happened connected to that

i had my last vaccine in 2009, it was a flu vaccine and felt bad with fever, it never worked to prevent anything then later by 2011 i used gcmaf and then vit d and never had a flu again

another case came to my mind, my sister made tetanus vaccine, she was not on any therapy and she returned immune tolerant for about 6months after being decades hbeag negative/hbeab positive after 1 year of interferon when she was a teen

hbvdna went back to out of range to be measured
hbsag did not change much about 24.000iu/ml
ast-alt lowest of normal, she never had it so low
hbeag negtive
hbeab positive

hbvdna returned later to about 300.000iu/ml with no alt flares by few weeks, fibroscan increased from 4.3 to almost 9kpa so later that year she started tdf
she had many health problems that year, back pains, headaches and so on

The hbv vaccine engerix contains no mercury, but aluminum hydroxide as an adjuvant. It is made from yeast and contains very small amounts of yeast protein from the manufacturing process.

The hepatitis A vaccine HAVRIX also contains no mercury, but aluminum hydroxide and is made from a human cell line, not yeast.

HAV vaccination in hbv patients is generally recommended, to reduce the increased risk in case of a superinfection on a compromised liver.

Immune defocusing by the HAV vaccine is a theoretical  possibility, but I am not aware of any data on this subject (worsening of hbv immune status by HAV vaccination).

because i saw people making vaccine to ep A and losing immunity of hbv vaccine
i also saw people losing hbv immunity by vaccine after getting chronic hbv

Studyforhope has more knowledge on this for sure, my point of view is to avoid vaccines when not needed especially those with mercury and especially those produced by some drug makers.vaccine with viruses, also viruses making cancers, have been used in the past with drug makers and governments knowing this, so i have zero trust on some makers

"I never considered vaccines, a, included even when my liver was cirrhotic.too much stress on local immune system, too many toxic preservatives, plus only a cirrhotic liver could be in danger from hep a which never gets chronic.an added benefit, a sulerinfection may awake local immune system on hbv.2 members on nucs from many many years clear hbv when got hep a "

stef2011, why do you think it puts stress on local immune system and toxic in the liver? Is it that significant stress? Are there any studies conducted for people who had chronic hep b and got hep a vaccine and see if the outcome was positive?

Studyforhope, would love to hear your opinion too if possible, as it looks like not all agree it's needed to get the vaccine.

Agreed it sounds logical to have hep a vaccine and I have never heard of it putting pressure on the liver!

Yes, I got right around the same time I started treatment. My doctor recommended I get it since I never was vaccinated. He said "You need to protect your liver and don't need Hep A on top of Hep B to do more damage"

I'm very thankful for his knowledge. I had no hesitations on doing so.

I'm not exposed to it. It shows I don't have the antibodies for it.

Personally I did not because I have already antibodies against.

I got it years and years ago.  I remember being told my liver didnt need the added stress and made sense. I would ask your liver specialist if you are worried.

" I remember being told my liver didnt need the added stress and made sense." who told you that? the forum members?

Also, how does the vaccination affect the liver? I thought they do it in the arm... And then the immune system just develop the antibodies for it in the arm and then it's using memory when it encounters the virus in another place and knows to produce the antibodies.

How exactly does it affect the liver? Study for hope or someone else, any chance you could explain please the mechanics and how far is it from the truth?

Thanks!
Sorry for he misunderstanding.  I remember my doctor saying to get the vaccine, as if I got hepatitis a my liver didn't need the added stress.  I did not have any reaction to the vaccine.  It was a shot in the arm and believe it takes 2 at different times for protection.  You can also test antibodies, like flyinsky, maybe you've already been exposed and it's not needed?  Call your specialist too to ask further.
