Issues with high cholesterol and blood sugar since stopping TNF. HBSAG Declining

Hello everyone.  Pls need your advise. Was on TNF for 7 years and stopped on doctors advise last year. Did lab results and saw results today. HBSAG still dropping. Now at 2500 iu/ml (from 3400 last 3 month). 12000 at first hbsag quantity test in 2012.
However, my sugar and cholesterol are almost in the abnormal range, together with high ALT and AST. Doctor, says he is more worried now about the sugar and cholesterol now than the HEPB.
Could this be happening because i stopped TNF? Perhaps due to the immune activity impairing liver function, leading to slow process of processing sugar and cholesterol.
I am now considering restarting TAF to see if these abnormal sugar and lipid levels will go back to normal. Anyone experienced these? Please let me know your thoughts

this result is due to rescued hbv t cells by nucs.i guess we dont have such tests available commercially so it is very difficult to know if hbsag will drop or not before stopping tdf

Dropping of HBSAG levels after tdf stoppage is not an uncommon phenomenon. Ur sugar and cholesterol levels are unrelated to hbv. Modify ur lifestyle and fooding habbits. Try n lose weight.

I find this comment about the drop of HBSAG after stopping TDF very interesting. Do you have any documented cases showing such? At what point did they stop and what was their levels of HBSAG and viral load? Did the viral load stay where it was or increase?
I am the latest case. Mine has been dropping since i stopped early last year, after taking tdf for 7 years. My viral load has remained undetectable. Was actually undetectable from the start. HBSAG still dropping. Now at 2500 iu/ml (from 3400 last 3 month) and 12000 at first hbsag quantity test in 2012. The decline will only happen if your immune system is hopefully  able to kick in, after being built up during the time on TNF.
Stopping has to be done  under strict observation from an experienced doctor.
I had big alt flares when i initially stopped, for all went down as my hbsag levels declined.
Of course im HBeag Negative
This paper says a lot:

This is all really interesting to read. I've made that considering to "stop" treatment when my trial ends (will be just at 7 years), just to see how I would react too. Like you, I am HBeag negative but my chronic case went "Active" so my viral load spiked up before I started the trial and then right before that, I was seeing it go down a lot. Just makes me wonder. My other option will be to try another trial that is more aimed towards a cure. I've got some pretty big decision to make in 2021 but I suspect my body will handle being off the treatment well and things will decline like this. As you mentioned, being under strict supervision and doctor's care for this is necessary.

A lot of people start getting cholesterol and sugar as they get older. Do you have any family history of either?

Not for Sugar. But cholesterol- Yes.
Checked my Sugar 3 days ago, already dropped to 4.5 (from 12.9 mmol//l.) under just over a week. Lifestyle and diet adjustment already helping.  Thanks

what levels of sugar and cholesterol?i d not be worried about cholesterol at all, it is inflammation to do damage to the arteries not cholesterol by its own and sugar is easy to control by diet if levels are prediabetes

Thanks so much. My Glu Fasting blood sugar is 12.9 mmol//l.
My good cholesterol (HDL) is 0.26  (Normal range is between 0.9 and 1000), while my bad cholesterol is  above 6.86 (normal is between 0 and 3.0). My triglycerides are 13.6 Normal is between 0.68 and 1.5). My liver function tests are fine, although i have SGOT of 57 and SGPT of 62, which are due to the immune action clearing my HBSAg which is on a steady decline.
Doctor advised that no need to restart tenofovir yet as LFTS are ok, and said we check results again in 6 months time to confirm continued downward HBSAG decline.
Gave medications (Metmorphin and statins) for the cholesterola and sugar. Said we review in 1 month to see if any improvements.
MEantime will ramp up on exercise and watch diet.
