My lab test came Hbsag negative, have i cleared?

After finding out 4 years ago that I contracted hepatitis b from my hbv positive mother during birth.. and with positive Hbsag tests for the past 4 years, my latest test shows Hbsag negative. Have I cleared or is it an error?

What if I have not developed Hbsab but my Hbsag is undetected?? What would that mean?
One of my facebook friend had similar situation he was chronic hbv positive but after some years he loss his hbsag and developed very little 2 iu/ml hbsab antibody on that time dr advised him to take vaccine.so after check of hbsag and hbsab you consult with your dr.best of luck.
Hello - i went for my repeat test. please read and help and tell me what you think the outcome will be.

I have had chronic hepatitis b since childhood as i contracted it from my mother at birth.

Had gone for my hbsag test about 3 months back and the result came in negative. I took it to my doc who said i should do a re-test in a few months time. So yesterday i went to the same lab for a retest. This morning i got a call from the lab that they need me to go give another blood sample as the test has initially came positive but upon retesting (a confirmatory test they do if the first test comes positive) it came negative the second time around. And hence they need another blood sample to re-do the test.

What is going on? few months back hbsag negative result. Now im told verbally of a hbsag positive initial test followed by a hbsag negative result in the confirmatory test (this they told be verbally).

what is going to be the most likely outcome of my test which they will do again now? what is going on? has this happened to anyone else? are these tests reliable?

how did i get a negative result a few months back? (also i was really shocked as i know the chances of loosing hbsag are really low and only happens to very few people..and now im afraid is not really become negative).

thank you
