hi. thanks for taking time to reply
i went to doctors with upper right quad pain and discomfort. this was after my negative hbsag test and antibody test.
the sexual health clinic screened for everything but because of this pain i got fascinated with HBV.
i was told at the clinic (who ran the core toal test and my ANTI-HBS as they could see i was immunized there years back) i was told i dont have hbv as im immune.
i then paid for the HBSAG test privately for my peace of mind at 11.5 weeks.
the doctors ran a liver function test at 5 months post exposure all normal.
maybe i am just looking back on this to much and need some counseling
1. It's not HBV it's HBSAG is negative and if you have anti-hbs.
2. What liver problems? Do you think it's liver problem or are your liver function tests off? AST? ALT? Other LFTs? Don't make an assumption that it's liver.
3. If it is infact liver based on abnormal Liver Function Tests LFTs, get to the root cause of it. It may or may not be one of the acute hepatitis virus. Hepatitis viruses range from A to E.
My simple suggestion, don't assume, get blood work done for LFTs and if liver tests are abnormal, see your hepatologist.
