Hi. Am starting vemlidy next month. Do u have any side effects so far? How much is your viral load? And what stage is your fibrosis?

Hi my husband is hep b + ... his viral load was 320000 copies or IU (not sure what measurements was used) and he is stage 3 fibrosis ... he has been on tenofovir now for coming up to 4 years ... his viral load has been undetectable now for a long time .. not sure if fibrosis has regressed in this time or not

I want to answer this, because I experience tinnitus. HOWEVER, mine was worse before any medication. It came about during the worst time for me as my chronic case went active and as the viral load went up, so did the tinnitus. I am not sure if it has a connection to the liver as I have never heard of this before, or if there are other issues which caused it (dental work or a bad neck have been also considered since I got symptoms at the time when this all occurred at once). However, what I can tell you, is that my tinnitus was REDUCED while on medication and as the viral load went to undetected. Yes, it is still there... it is there 24/7..... but I don't believe TAF is causing the small amount there is. I would only know if I got off of  TAF and I am not about to do that any time soon....

Thank you luckyman316!  It's been over a month since I got the tinnitus.   I met with my family doctor and took 5 days of Prednisone.  The symptom went away for a few days and came back.   Did you take any medication for the tinnitus?
@Quang I did not take any medications for tinnitus. I've debated myself about trying Prednisone or even Amoxycillin (in case it was an infection, tooth issue or even lyme's) but with the way my liver has been with Hep B, I want to avoid this and not take any drugs other than Vemlidy unless absolutely absolutely necessary. You can try to experiment with different vitamins or try a lot of green tea, which always seems to make things better for me (not go away but better)
Great advice  luckyman316!  I'll try a green tea and track my daily supplement vitamins.
I've been taking LIPO FLAVONOID past two weeks and it seems to work.   The low pitch sound was gone after a first week and the high pitch sound is minimal now.    Vitamin B3, B6, B12, and C are active ingredients of Lipo Flavonoid.  So I'll try the mix of those vitamins moving forward instead of the actual medication.
