Stef2011,
If you have anti-hbs (above >10 iu/l) and then are exposed to hep b, will HBcAb turn positive?
And now its positive again. So I am protected right NOW.right?
But hbs ag is positive for me. I got vaccinated 1years ago and before that it was negative
if you never take chemio, steroids, anti Rheumatoid and all similar immune suppressive drugs that destroy immune system hbsag will never be positive
And HBsAg will never be positive if you have the anti-hbs in case of infection stef ?
No it gets cleared asynthomatically
Thanks for the reply!
You think its possible to be infected with hepb even if you have the required anti-hbs? (10 iu/l)
no i mean that many do not respond to the vaccine and make no antibody hbsab
Stef, I checked my HBsAb 4 months ago which was 25.51 iu/l. This immunity was given from Twinrix 9 years ago. So you mean my immunity is not 100%?
1. What is the ideal testing time for Hep B and Hep D after exposure.
after 6-12 months since 98% of adults clear hbv by immune system (flu and colds are more dangerous).it is only at birth that you get chronic hbv from the mother because the baby has no immune system
2. Does hep B vaccine protect us %100?
no the vaccine on the market is outdated, the response is much lower than 100%, only the israel vaccine scivac has a very high protective percentage
3. Does hep B vaccine protect us from hep D?
hep D is a parasite of hbv, it does not exsist on its own
end of story it is good to get vaccine and HBIG immediately but on adults it ll be cleared anyway by immune system
