Worried that my medication (TAF - Vemlidy) stopped working

I don't know where to turn but here I am. Many know that I am on a clinical trial for TAF - Vemlidy. This past month, I've been experiencing odd symptoms. Symptoms very similar to when my Chronic Hepatits B went active. They are as follows:

-Diaherria almost every day. I did start taking some probiotics 4 days ago and this helped for 4 days but again, same symptom just occurred after being solid for a few days

-Weight Loss. I've been concerned about this. I have been trying to lose weight but the past month, more seemed to come off than normal.

-Weakness. There is definitely some weakness going on. I did reduce Vitamin D but have since increased it back to 10,000iu (split during the day) but it does not seem to help much.

-Lack of appetite. I mean, I can definitely eat when I need to. I have proven this, but I just have not felt hungry.

Has anyone else felt like this while on medication? I'm considering going to the doctor if this continues through the weekend to make sure the medications are working and bringing all my symptoms to him. These symptoms were very similar to how I was 7 years ago. Is it possible for meds to stop working? I'm also worried that the doctors gave me a placebo instead of an actual clinical trial medication. Hoping there is nothing else wrong with me. I do have some internal organ issues but they were not severe back in November and everything was "clean" so to speak. I am getting a heavy feeling on the side where my liver and gallbladder are likely, this has not happened before.

Any suggestions or advice here? I'm definitely in a bit of a struggle so just want to be sure I take right steps (also putting another thought in my head that my body may be trying to clear this but I am getting worse before I get better)

Leave off the tag trials and start taking actual pills. Trials for taf mean nothing today. The symptoms u mentioned might not necessarily b of hep b complex but can be as simple as gastroenteritis or starting of immune mediated IBS. But before coming to a judgement do ur stool r/m and take a course of atleast continued 1 week antibiotics after consulting a good physician. U r well aware of the markers of hep b. Check them too.

I wouldnt come off the TAF trial as he gets free meds testing etc
Agreed there, the TAF trial has a year and a half left on it. Free meds, free testing, etc. I need to stay on it as long as I have to (unless I clear)
I need to be careful with this diet. I've been doing good, lost 35lbs in total, but gained another 5lbs back. I have not be as focused on the diet but I also have not been horrible here like I was. I just need to understand my limits. I am getting some discomfort and sometimes a heavy feeling on the right right as well. I reduced my water intake though so that may play a big part right now, so I need to stay hydrated.
Well done with the weight loss bro

Just stay focused on what your doing.
Hopefully the heaviness should calmed down. You might have damaged a nerve and it could be reffered discomfort or pain

Yo my TAF brother. They wouldnt dare give you a placebo as plaecebo isnt even part of the trial.

Are you still blind part of trial or meant to be on TAF?

Dont go in talking about placebos you will look ridiculous
Put your mind at ease bite on both tablets you know the drill like i do.

You just recently stopped eating shite hence weight loss so your body could be detoxifying  your body could craving the aditives from the junk food you recently yhence fatigue or just because your guts have been dodgy loss of electrolites etc.

Youve had an mri ultrasound etc. Sounds like youve had the rolls royce treatment in terms of tests.

The way i stop diraeah is with 1/3 clove of garlic

Whatever happens buddy dont panic youve come to far to start that now :)

It's funny you mentioned loss of electrolytes, that is something else many others were suggesting too. It's just one tablet (TAF) for me now. I think this is the 4th bottle I started. I noticed that when I was on the 3rd bottle is when I got more issues. Who knows if placebo or not, but I would not say that. I'd just get checked to make sure everything was still working right.

I actually slowed down a little on the exercise a bit, I think I was overdoing it. This week has been better overall. I usually have garlic in the dinner when I make it. A friend of mine suggested some probiotic yogurt this week too, it seems to have helped. To add to this, I also have the thought that the chiropractor I've been seeing for neck issues (there have been some back adjustments too) may have triggered off some nerves for this to happen, so I'm taking a break from there for a week to see how my body reacts.

Anyway, thanks for the encouragement. I did find out this past week that my father is immune to Hep B despite not remembering if he ever had a vaccination or not. He just says "I'm probably naturally immune" and I explained to him how that is not possible. That lead me more to suspect that my father had it at one point and naturally cleared it, and maybe got it from my mother (who is deceased 15 years now) hence why I have it. But I would not know.
