yes with a prescription it is possible to take it and yes it is indeed cheaper but they found another trick these drugs are free by healthcare system so we actually pay that as taxes while it may appear they re free
Does that mean that if I settle abroad my family won't be able to courier me the medicine from India.
If the difference is so high, one can actually fly down to India buy the medicine for a year or 2 and go back.
is there an import restriction?
yes there is, governments are so corrupt to work with drug companies that make higher prices, i hope one day patents are abolished because the market is so corrupt with too much money that they no longer make any sense
The price of genuine etv-baraclude is INR 2410 for 10 tablets i.e 33euro in India.
If the price variation is so high, why dont you guys take it from here.
is there an import restriction?its a life saving drug
i agree tdf is about 400€, etv 750-800€, if TAF will be cheaper than tdf, and it must be because much less than 50% of tdf we will see
i bet they re going to use a price similar to etv
It depends on the healthcare for each country, in Poland for example entencavir is given first and tenofovir only if there is etv resistant mutation. I'm not sure if decision is made because there is more kidney toxicity when using tdf than etv or because of the price. I guess when TAF will be available it's better than etv for kidneys too ? So only price will matter.
