hep b

I was diagnosed 20 years ago with HBV.  Hospitial started testing new moms.  My none sexual history ruled out that possiblity.  The only fact my moms from Vietnam or blood transfusion when i was born premature.

My question:  Is blood test enough to go by when checking condition of liver once a year.  I'm 40 years old now and starting having severe fatigue and digestion problems 7 years ago.  I don't seem to be getting better.
Enzymes are almost normal and the liver bio.  show good.  So these symptoms are from something else right.  Or is this virus going to just suddenly jump up and get me the older I get.

Many HBV patients are asymptomatic.

Different tests have different level of sensitivity and different doctors have standards for normal results.

In general, if you know you have chronic HBV, you want to be gentle to your liver.

For yourself and your loved ones, you should not just forget about it.

biopsy done 4 months ago.  So I'm safe.  Since everything is normal, I don't need to worry amymore about this Hep B. doing any damage to my liver?   So I'll just forget I even have it.

If your fatigue and digestion conditions are chronic and your liver lab results (ALT, AST, VL DNA, etc.) and liver biopsy are normal, then they may be due to something other than HBV.

Please provide the dates and values for your tests so that we can interpret them more accurately.
