Why were you screened for hep b by your doctor. It’s not something most doctors, at least in the US test for unless something with ast or alt was abnormal. Good thing your dr caught it, bad thing without ab, you might be chronic hep b.
It’s definitely not a good outcome to have CHB. Prayer sent. Take care of yourself and learn the best way to deal with CHB. If you have it, it’s a life changer and scary thing, but you just have to deal with it. I have good days and bad days.
For me every six months, I hope for the best and pray for good results
Sorry about your diagnosis. I wish doctors would do better at going over test results quickly. If you test positive for HBsAg for longer than six months, it means you have a chronic hepatitis B infection. But, if you no longer test positive (or “reactive”) for HBsAg after six months and you develop hepatitis B surface antibodies (HBsAb), then you have cleared hepatitis B after an “acute” infection.
