trazom is right in any case hbe ab is a good sign because it means your immune system is reacting
it becomes a bad sign only when virus has a mutation and hbe ab antibodies are not useful anymore to stop hbv-dna but in any case hbeab can keep a lower hbvdna, in fact all antiviral tx gets more patients und when hbeab is present

in general they used to say hbeab chb is bad because usually you get hbeab antibody at a later stage of the disease and liver has more damage but this is an old point of view
it is also i good sign when you get hbeab by immune system and not by tx and when you get it young because disease progression is slower

in general the good points on CHB are: less liver damage as possible, low or und hbvdna

HBeAg positive is a bad sign. HBeAb (Antibody) is a good sign. When HBeAb is present meaning the Hep B virus  activity is low.
